NWEA - Northwest Evaluation Association
The Orcutt Union School District began utilizing an assessment program in all of our district schools during the 2009/10 school year. The Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA) assessment program is a technology-based system that focuses on individual student growth in three academic areas: Language, Mathematics, and Reading.
The assessments, referred to as Measures of Academic Progress (MAP), are given three times per year to students in grades 1 – 8. Teachers have access to the results within 48 hours. Information generated from the student reports will be shared with parents throughout the year. If you have questions about NWEA, please contact your child’s teacher and/or principal or visit the NWEA website.
