Outdoor Education Information

The Orcutt Union School District is pleased to be able to continue an outdoor education/science camp program for sixth graders. Alice Shaw, Joe Nightingale, Patterson Road, Pine Grove, and Ralph Dunlap schools attend Science Camp at Camp Whittier, located near Lake Cachuma. In addition, Olga Reed and Orcutt Academy K-8 will go to the Catalina Island Marine Institute (CIMI).

Health and Medication Information

Parents/guardians need to complete the OUSD health form for their student for Camp Whittier and CIMI.

Any students that bring medications to camp (prescription and non-prescription) will need to have their physician/health provider complete the district medication form.

Please read the important Nurses Instructions & Info from the district credentialed school nurses regarding medication instructions, types, reminders, forms, etc.
