The northern County Mathmatics Superbowl has become a fun enaging competition for students in 4,5 and 6th grade, and OUSD is thrilled to host the event at our very own Lakeview Junior High and will be continuing that again next year! Registration open in the fall of each school year. Keep an eye out on our webpage for updates as we get closer to the 25/26 school year.
All teachers and students in grades 4, 5 and 6 in schools throughout north Santa Barbara County are invited to participate in a mathematics competition event that is exciting and challenging. Schools will be registered on a first come, first serve basis so it is in each school’s best interest to return the School Registration Form as soon as possible to assure a place in the event. The entry fee for each school is $150.
Each school may use a screening process of its own design in order to select four students from each grade level who will best represent the school at the Math Superbowl.
School and individual awards will be given.
The Superbowl consists of four parts. North County schools bring three teams of four students in grades 4, 5, & 6. Students start with two individual tests. After a short break, students separate into their grade level teams to solve five word problems. The final part of the competition is the hands-on building challenge. This is always the most exciting part of the Superbowl!
